About Tom Farrell

My objective is to help you understand your financial makeup and the options open to you. To help you arrive at a settlement that makes sense to you, both now and for the future.
This can be a challenging journey. It is vital to focus on need and to take time to reality check your ideas, before you make irrevocable decisions. To that end, I have developed a range of skills that enable me to offer what I believe to be a unique service:
I am a Family Mediator and member of the Family Mediators Association (FMA).
I am an Affiliate member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and am accredited through them to work as a Financial Neutral in Collaborative Law.
I am an Independent Financial Planner, regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), through Merlin Financial Consultants Limited.
I hold several advanced Financial Planning qualifications, with a bias towards pensions and am suitably qualified to advise on pension transfers.
The majority of my clients are referred to me by fellow Family Law professionals, such as Lawyers or Family Consultants and I often work as part of a team of specialists.
If you have existing advisers, I can integrate the work that I do and act as a hub for
information flow.
It is not the case that you have to stick to one way of dealing with your situation. Increasingly, it makes sense for couples to use more than one way to navigate to a settlement.
